Bandung Rite

Bandung Rite for Guitar Quartet by Scott Borg. The music of Indonesia appealing: its sound, philosophies, and the social interaction that occurs through its performance. Bandung Rite gives the performer/listener a small simplistic glimpse of this music, through prepared guitar sounds that imitate the Javanese gamelan. It furthermore presents musical layering, fused with percussive sounds that reflect the impact of the industrialized world. This piece was composed for Dr. Adam Kossler and the students of the River Bend Middle School Guitar Camp.
