Playground March

If you’ve ever watched children on the playground, you know that with their intense  imaginations and boundless energy, the children’s game can switch directions, add a new character, or change rules at a moment’s notice. Playground March, with its varying phrase length and triplets over eighth notes, tries to capture the essence of children at play. Whimsical and free, without the pressures of adult life, the story can go anywhere. Articulations may be added or changed at the discretion of the conductor.
