Prelude and Dialogue (á la J.S. Bach)

As far as anyone knows, Johann Sebastian Bach never wrote music for the guitar. When guitarists arrange and perform Bach’s masterful works that were written for other instruments, they can be challenging and awkward to play, because his notes often don’t sit comfortably on the fretboard. This inspired me to write something that is idiomatic for the guitar and sound as if Bach possibly could have been the composer. Therefore, utilizing Bach’s compositional aspects of harmony, form, texture, and counterpoint, Prelude and Dialogue (á la J.S. Bach) was born.
