Through the Green Meadow

Through the Green Meadow by Thomas Tudek, is a playful stroll through a meadow of green and golden tall grass with a thought to be surrounded by the tall blades gently swaying in a mild summer breeze. The work contains three primary sections beginning in E major that is comprised of short repeated phrases in chorale texture where each phrase is demarcated by a two-measure introductory sequence that sets its casual yet lively mood. A brief change from 5/4 time to3/4 time occurs midway in the section as a hint of the change to its partnered minor key is experienced.
