Guitar Chamber Music Press

Publishing

The Guitar Chamber Music Press staff takes pride in the quality of its products. Our music is printed on 8.5” x 11”, 28-pound paper and the covers are on 100-pound silk. Most scores are spiral bound; however, shorter works are saddle (staple) stitched. For ensemble works, multiple-page parts are on 11” x 17” paper and saddle (staple) stitched when longer than 4 pages. Layout is standardized with .5-inch boarders and well-spaced systems for ease of reading. In addition, blank pages are used as needed to facilitate page turns. Initially, GCMP used a white satin finish cover with the company logo, title, category and composer/arranger but recently has incorporated a more colorful cover. We use public domain works of art and photographs or artwork provided by the composer or arranger. Most scores include performance notes, a biography page and a table of contents when appropriate. Many of our composers and arrangers are academics and professors and have a profound understanding of the guitar and its music.

Unlike larger publishing companies, copyrights and mechanical rights remain with the composer or arranger. Guitar Chamber Music Press is strictly a publisher and distributor.

“I’ve been very fortunate to work with the publisher, Manley Mallard, of Guitar Chamber Music Press. It is a gift to have a publisher that specializes in guitar music, both new and old. I can attest that every effort is made to produce editions that are interesting and well presented. I myself am very proud to have a number of my pieces edited and published by Manley Mallard at GCMP.”

“I was a customer before I was a published author with Guitar Chamber Music Press. The offerings are unique in new repertoire, fresh arrangements, overlooked sources, and if you are looking for more repertoire in underserved instrumental combinations, www.guitarchambermusicpress.com is the place you’ll likely find them. As an author, it was the quality of paper, careful, clear print and thoughtfully executed binding, made to last, that caused me to publish my work with this firm. And response time and customer service are second to none. Five stars!”

“I am honored to be a part of Guitar Chamber Music Press. I have known Manley Mallard since he started this company in 1990 and have watched it’s catalog and contributors grow exponentially. Not only does he have a gift as an arranger/composer, he also has amazing instincts in building a team of such high caliber and diverse artists. I am humbled to be listed among such great talents as Glenn Caluda, Joseph and Kathleen Mayes, Candice Mowbray, Dave Burdick, Kevin Vigil, Will Mallard and so many others. In addition to a wide range of works from the Renaissance to the present day (including solos, ensembles, chamber music, anthologies, and methods), GCMP  features high quality publications with beautiful covers, thorough and scholarly introductions, and meticulous attention to detail.”

“Guitar Chamber Music Press has a wonderful collection of guitar and guitar ensemble compositions, arrangements and transcriptions from composers and arrangers around the world.  The growing catalog serves educators and performers of every level and includes music of many styles.  I am proud to contribute to this collection.”

“Guitar Chamber Music Press has a wonderful catalogue of exciting and adventurous compositions and arrangements from all periods for ensembles and solo and more. I’ve accumulated quite the collection for my own personal study/performance, as well as for many teaching applications at all levels. This catalogue is an excellent resource for the community music school (children through adult), school level (K-12), college-level, and beyond. I am honored to be part of GCMP’s fantastic roster of composers and arrangers.”
