Randall Nye

Randall Nye holds both Bachelor of Music and Master of Music degrees in Guitar Performance from Southern Methodist University where he was a student of guitarist Robert Guthrie. He has performed in master classes with Manuel Barrueco, Oscar Ghiglia, Eliot Fisk, Abel Carlevaro and many others. 
Mr. Nye has served on the music faculties at several colleges including Collin College, Dallas College, and the University of Texas at Dallas. Most recently he was Director of Guitar Studies at the Pegasus School for Liberal Arts & Sciences. He has adjudicated in several solo and ensemble competitions, including the Texas Guitar Competition, University of Texas at Brownsville Guitar Ensemble Competition, the Eastfield College Collegiate Guitar Competition and the Collin College Guitar Festival. Mr. Nye has also taught and given performances throughout Texas, New Mexico, Mexico and was a performer and teacher at the Yugoslavian International Guitar Festival in the spring of 1991.
As an arranger, Mr. Nye’s transcriptions and arrangements for guitar ensemble have been studied and performed in many schools, universities and workshops throughout the US.
