Romana Hartmetz holds a Master of Music in Classical Guitar Performance from the Conservatory of Music, University of Missouri, Kansas City where she studied with performing artist Douglas Niedt, and a Bachelor of Music from the University of North Texas, Denton Texas.

She is a composer, and educator and has directed Middle and High School guitar programs in Kansas City, Mo, Broward County, Fl and Loudoun County, Va.  She has been a guest conductor and lecturer at various state and regional music association events and was a founding member of the Teaching Guitar Workshops/NAfME Guitar task force. Her compositions are frequently performed by High School, College and Middle School Ensembles.
